I just got back from New York City for my bachelor party and had a blast! This city is so different from any other place, it's amazing. People are everywhere, you can find anything you want. We stayed away from most of the tourist attractions aside from Times Square and Central Park. It was the first weekend of good weather this year so the park was packed. There were a lot of street performers, but the coolest were definitely the skate dancers.

One of the most interesting bars we went to was Union Hall in Brooklyn. It looks like an old library or study when you enter and has two Bocce Ball lanes (if you are not familiar with Bocce Ball, its like horse shoes but 100 times better). Apparently, you can sometimes find David Cross (aka Tobias from Arrested Development) and other comedians here. Some how we ended up at Thunder Jackson's in Manhattan, which only claim to fame was the ability to purchase a giant glass boot of beer for $25. Other bars we went to were Cherry Tree Bar, High Dive and Side Bar.

For the big dinner we went to Maxie's Bar and Grill which can only be described as a FEAST! Within minutes of being seated we had food on our table and it didn't stop coming all night. Homemade potato chips with dipping sauce, chicken wings, two kinds of salads, steak, homemade fries, onion rings, cheese cake and fried cookie dough. The food was delicious (just like most places in New York City).

Best thing I love about this city is that you can come back and go to all totally different places and have just as great of a time.
Thanks to Lee for setting it up and everyone else for making the long travel.
P.S. If there are any former Goosebumps readers out there, check out Blogger Beware. It'll entertain you for a little while.
