Jackie's Work

Gift Shop

Wonder where I was the entire month of February? Preparing for this final presentation to our client in Georgia. For this project, I was given the task of the building a model of the Hospital's main lobby, concourse, emergency waiting room, diagnostic services department, and my favorite the gift shop!! Our client is very traditional so our design reflects that with an "updated classic" flare.

First, I built each space in Google program called SketchUp and then we use a rendering plug-in called Indigo to render each scene. It takes weeks to build a good model and a few days to get a good rendering (that means, I press go and walk away for 2-3 days and let the computer do its work). The lobby specifically took 4.5 days to render. Then, we take the image into Photoshop for some final touches. There are 5 Interior Designers on this job and we all participated some way in each design and collaborated along the way.

Enjoy!
