Changes

It has been a while since my last post! The past few months have flown by just as I was told they would. I am back at work now, and Carson is in… daycare. It is hard for me to use the “D” word, but we do love where he is and know that it is the best option for us right now. Billy is well into his Spring semester in the UNF MBA program and of course doing amazing. Carson is excelling in daycare and it has only been 1.5 weeks! He is starting to talk more and smile more so I know he loves it there. I think they love him too! Every time I pick him up the girls are either holding him or playing with him. They say he is very good and oh so cute! Yes… we know. :-) As for me, I am back in the healthcare design world impacting one patient’s life at a time. I love what I do, but being away from my little boy is tough. Right now I am struggling balancing it all and getting everywhere on time, but I know it will get easier as we establish more of a routine.

I have been doing a lot of reflecting the past few months on what I would like to accomplish on this blog. When I first started writing for my family and friends it was meant to catch everyone up on all the fun things Billy and I were up to, recipes we have tried, restaurants we love, and places we visited. While it would be easy to get on the blog every once and a while and let you know how Carson is doing, almost everyone can see that on Facebook. So, what can I do to make blogging different and fun for me? What can I do that we can save and look back on in the future? What we came up with was posting short stories about our new parent battles. The first cold, diaper mishaps, the result of our forgetfulness, etc. Wow, I wish I began blogging about these stories 3 months ago! We have a ton of funny ones. So I wrote them down and am prepared to share them with you until we catch up!

The goal? Saving our blog posts and sharing with our children when they get older. I know boys probably won’t care, but if we are ever blessed with a girl, she will love it. :-)

Some stories to come…

Where's Your Belly Button??
We Need a Pee Pee Teepee
Carson’s First Cold
Working Mom Woes (I forgot the adapter rings)
Let’s Go For a Walk! (with a standard stroller)
Breastfeeding Battles
The Happy Spitter
I Can Roll Over! (Then forget how I did it…)

What started as a way to update our families on Carson and our little family, has turned into a diary of memories that will be added to Carson's baby book. Memories that we will be able to look back on and laugh at in the future!
