Carson is now 6 months old! I can't believe it has been 6 long and exciting months since we welcomed him into our lives. Billy and I can hardly remember a time without him. He fills our lives with so much laughter and joy. In 6 months, Carson has learned to hold his head up, roll over, sit unsupported, repeat (or try to repeat) sounds, laugh, eat solids, recognize his name, and so much more!
We started him on rice cereal at 5 months, slowing changed to oatmeal (He hated rice. I also think it made him nauseous... he threw up a couple times after eating it), and now we are into the fruits and veggies! He had his first taste of veggies this weekend. We decided to begin with sweet potatoes; not too sweet, but also not the worst tasting! We didn't want to scare him since our first time eating rice was horrible. After feeding him oatmeal, I went to the kitchen to get the sweet potatoes. He was not happy with me because he was still hungry! So when I returned, he lunged at the spoon and took a big mouthful of sweet potatoes. He didn't look shocked, but soon began to cry. Still hungry, he kept eating; almost expecting it to be oatmeal again. Finally, we had to stop feeding him because he would just cry, eat, cry eat! The next day he did much better when I mixed it with his oatmeal. We are done with his first jar of sweet potatoes and are on to green beans tomorrow! This time next week he will finally have solids at breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
Yesterday was Carson's 6 month well check-up. He is one big boy!

95% for height, 90% for weight
He is currently wearing 9-12 month old clothes.
His 3rd round of shots went as expected. Poor baby had to get 2 shots in his legs. I felt so bad because he was very tired since he was missing his late afternoon nap. It is very hard to keep a tired yet active baby boy entertained in a small exam room as you wait for the doctor and nurse! Then, on top of that, we stuck him with a needle. He
