This month Carson has:
Started to eat chunks of food all by himself. No more purees!
Started to walk with his baby walkers.
Said his first word: "Uh oh!"
We have had so much fun with our little boy this month. He has played with the sounds "mama" and "dada" since I can remember, but this month he started trying to use them at the right time. When he is hungry or tired, he crawls to me and says, "mama mama mama." And the other day when Billy was holding the elevator for our neighbors and got in last he said, "dada dada?" while reaching for the door. Sometimes we think its a fluke, but I think he is really trying!
He will definitely be an athlete! He LOVES balls. He picks up any ball he sees and throws it to us. It is really fun to play catch with Carson! This month he even figured out how to pick up his large (kid size) basketball and football with two hands and throw it to us. I even had him throwing a real baseball back and fourth with me.
He learned to walk with his baby walkers! While his Grandma and Grandpa Maslan were here visiting for the weekend, Carson finally started to walk with the walkers on his own. I think he wanted to show off. He now walks back and fourth, back and fourth, around the living room. He laughs and smiles the whole way! He walks himself until he is so tired, he then falls to the ground and crawls to me while saying, "mama mama mama." He will shortly fall asleep in my arms completely worn out!
Carson loves bananas, a windy day, the sun shining in his face, and anything sippy cup or bottle related. He is still on breast milk and formula, and we give him water after his meals and snack. He loves his cups and bottles so much we have to hide them until we are ready for him to have it, or he will cry! Carson also loves our bed. I think its the down comforter, we call it "The Cloud." It's the only way we can put his pants or shorts on him without him moving around too much. As soon as we open the door to the bedroom and he sees the bed he lights up. He then throws his head down as soon as I even slightly lean him toward the comforter. He laughs and smiles and just enjoys the comfort while we peacefully dress him. :)
We have two months until his 1 year old Birthday Party! Less than that since we will be having it on the 10th of November. I need to get to planning! Can't believe he will have a toddler soon...

What sweet memories with Carson this month :). How exciting that his one-year birthday is so close!! And, November 10 is a wonderful day to celebrate - My birthday. Miss you, friend.
